About Lavecon:

Lavecon is a convention which celebrates the creative energy in science fiction, fantasy and gaming, inspired by the Elite computer game.

Board Gaming, Live Roleplay and Jugger matches, Cosplay, LAN Computer Gaming, Tabletop Roleplay, X-Wing Miniatures, Readings from Authors, Workshops, Live Audio Drama, Demos, Oculus Rift, Q&A sessions, Talks, Panels, Special Guests and of course Elite Dangerous (details tba, but we have exciting plans)

This year we also bring you the Ambassador’s Reception on 23rd June, which is an opportunity for Commanders to gather and chat, while enjoying a banquet. This is ticketed separately from the main event on the 24th & 25th June.

The hotel is booked exclusively to us, so hotel rooms for the Saturday night can only be booked with a Lavecon ticket, we would prefer you booked the Friday/Sunday nights with us to prevent you having to move rooms between your bookings. Costs for Friday/Sunday rooms are set by the hotel, not by HWS.

Tanya DePass is the founder and Director of I Need Diverse Games, a non-profit organization based in Chicago, which is dedicated to better diversification of all aspects of gaming. I Need Diverse Games serves the community by supporting marginalized developers attend the Game Developer Conference by participating in the GDC Scholarship program, helps assist attendance at other industry events, and is seeking partnership with organizations and initiatives.
