Thank you for taking the time to submit a panel suggestion for ValorCon 2016! We are excited to offer a diverse selection of content to our attendees.

Panels may have two to four panelists. Please notify us of panelist additions or changes ASAP. Panels will be 60 minutes in duration, with a 15 minute break in-between. Unless you check ‘Yes” for “mature content” on the form below, ValorCon staff expects you and your fellow panelists to refrain from using profane or sexual language and that your topic remain suitable for all ages. All panelists must adhere to our Harassment Policy, which can be read on our main page.

All panelists are entitled to a complimentary one-day ValorCon badge, valid for the day of their panel. Anyone participating on two or more panels is entitled to a full three-day badge valid for the entire show. Panels may be serious or playful. Panels do not have to relate directly to gaming, Our track rooms are equipped with laptop hookups for audio and video (Mac or PC), as well as large format monitors, speakers, and microphones.

Additional requests for equipment will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Tanya DePass is the founder and Director of I Need Diverse Games, a non-profit organization based in Chicago, which is dedicated to better diversification of all aspects of gaming. I Need Diverse Games serves the community by supporting marginalized developers attend the Game Developer Conference by participating in the GDC Scholarship program, helps assist attendance at other industry events, and is seeking partnership with organizations and initiatives. Tanya is a lifelong Chicagoan who loves everything about gaming, #INeedDiverseGames spawn point, and wants to make it better and more inclusive for everyone. She founded and was the EIC of Fresh Out of Tokens podcast where games culture was discussed and viewed through a lense of feminism, intersectionality and diversity. Now she’s a co-host on Spawn on Me Podcast. Along with all of that, she’s the Programming Coordinator for OrcaCon, she often speaks on issues of diversity, feminism, race, intersectionality & other topics at multiple conventions throughout the year. Her writing about games and games critique appears in Uncanny Magazine, Polygon, Wiscon Chronicles, Vice Gaming, Paste Games, Mic, and other publications.
